Friday is the big close date! I can’t wait for all this to be over and I finally get my furniture on Monday. It’s funny, this weekend last year I was on the interview that would change the direction of where my life was going. So what has happened in the last year? You ask…
- Moved in with the ol’ folks “temporarily” – is 9 months temporary?
- Saw Wicked last year…highly recommend to all
- Went to the Murray Christmas party (mom’s side), haven’t done that for years. Lots of fun, especially when my cousin Jenny did an impression of her mom…it was great!
- Drove to Atlanta and back to Chi-Town at least 4 times
- My uncle passed away in March
- A friend passed away in July
- Sold my house
- Got an apartment
- When on a few interesting dates this last year….rather not talk about it
- Still church hopping…haven’t settled on one yet
- Went to Florida, Minneapolis, Wisconsin, St. Simons…
- Taking the train, did more reading this year than I have in a long time….it helped me realize how much I use to enjoy reading. So that is one good thing about the train.
- Survived the 9th snowiest winter in Chicago history
- Survived the drought in ATL…I hear there still is a drought
I think you get the point! I haven’t jumped out of a plane (yet) or did anything truly exciting…but I have the future and something to look forward to
Lastly, I wanted to share a picture. My friend, Sue, her husband, Jim, left his beautiful sports car at the Wheaton Train station over the weekend. When he went to retrieve it on Saturday, here is what he found:
We had a lot of rain this last weekend! Ya think?

Busy year!!! I can’t believe that picture!!
