It was great having a 5 day weekend. Did absolutely no work…I’ll pay for it the rest of this week but it’s worth it. So what did I do this weekend?
- Thanksgiving day, my folks came over and we had dinner at the Palm Court, the food was great, I was really impressed. We then went back to my apartment played games and had dessert.
- Friday, I tried to help the economy a bit and went shopping, got some great deals…but overall wasn’t too impressed, there were not as many deals as I thought there would be. I assume by Christmas they will get better but if felt good to finish some shopping.
- Saturday, Mom and I did some errands and we got my Christmas tree, I love it and love the way it smells – just lovely. I then met my friend Sue for dinner at Maggiano’s and then we went to see Australia…I was very surprised not to see it as #1 at the box office but I still think it was a good movie. Definitely a chick flick.
- Sunday, I met up with my parents to celebrate my mother’s birthday, we went to dinner and then saw Four Christmas’ – which was pretty funny.
- Today…Monday, did some errands this morning, started to watch Oprah and The View but then Obama came on to announce is hold defense team (which was no surprise)…oh well, met mom for lunch (today is actually her birthday) and then came home to relax the rest of the day.
Like I said, it was nice to have a 5 day weekend but now reality sets in and off to work tomorrow.
